Moniker Artist Spotlight: Skewville

Solo show at Moniker Art Fair 2018 in Shoreditch, London

Over the years, Moniker and Skewville have worked together on a number of occasions, both in London and in their home city of New York.

Skewville, formed in 1996, has been prolific in the street art scene way before it even became a scene. Most known for their silkscreen wooden sneakers that were tossed over thousands of telephone wires worldwide, Ad and twin brother Droo have now evolved into the gallery scene making paintings, prints and sculptures as well as elaborate installations.

While Ad, fully versed in all other skewville mediums, he solely tackles the painting aspect of the Skewville repertoire, while Droo is the master of his own 3D simplicity. Both artist often have different processes , but their final pieces always resonates that same Skewville Flavor.
