Moniker Artist Spotlight: Brusk

Solo show at Moniker Art Fair 2018 in Brooklyn, New York

Brusk is a French artist born in Saint Priest, near Lyon in 1976. He discovered street art during the 90's and created his initial graffiti work at the Lyon Part Dieu station. Following this, Brusk joined the Fine arts school in Saint Etienne. He graduated and joined DMV (Da Mental Vaporz), a famous crew in Europe.

Brusk doesn't only stick to walls, he uses various other mediums like video, computers, photo, canvas...His style has evolved through time and his technical expertise has allowed him to create varied works: figurative, abstract, realist, graphic...A versatile artist, he also does 3D work, handles textile, designs furniture and packaging. His style stands out due to dripping, a technique which gives his work a "dripping or trickling" like aspect.

Brusk listens to his inspiration and doesn't convey any message in particular: "to take a path for an open air gallery is an action in itself" says the artist. Brusk became famous due to his creations in the art market.
