    • About the Artist

Moniker is thrilled to announce our November print release in collaboration with globally recognised muralist and founding member of Graffuturism, Remi Rough.

Remi Rough (British, 1971) began his career in the 80’s on the streets of South London. Rough is synonymous with the development of Graffiti in London, his unique style and dedication to the subculture has been globally recognised. The abstraction of letter forms and the colour dynamics and energy are all an integral part of Rough’s practice, an artist who takes influence from architecture and the way cities morph around the individuals who live in them.

Rough’s enjoys both a street and gallery career, with his paintings being exhibited in galleries and museums in Hong Kong, London, Los Angeles, Paris, Perth, and Tokyo.

To celebrate surface as an important aspect within his work we are releasing a unique Etching for this Moniker Edition.

Etching is a printmaking technique that uses chemical action to produce incised lines in a metal printing plate which then hold the applied ink and form the image, similar to engraving.
