Featured Artist: VESOD
Born and still living in Turin, Vesod’s artistic attitude was influenced and nurtured by his surrealistic painter father Dovilio Brero, which eventually grew into a love of the graffiti world from the 90s onwards.
For the past ten years, he has pursued a personal painting language in which graffiti plays a central role, while dedicating time to his own cultural and academic education, in particular maths, his chosen subject of study that has had a direct impact on his works alongside notions of renaissance art and futurism.
At Moniker, Vesod explores whether capturing space and time in a single moment directly distorts time’s flow, detaching from a conventional linear presentation and creating amalgams of life and death, beginning and end – a “god’s point of view”.
